APAV Data Detox Youth evento 2021

On February 9 we presented Data Detox x Youth, an activity kit to help children and young people think about different aspects of their digital lives, from their social media profiles to passwords.

The presentation, which marks the Safer Internet Day, will be broadcast live at 17:30 on APAV's YouTube and Facebook and will feature Ricardo Estrela, manager of APAV's Safe Internet Line, João Pedro Martins, Portuguese ambassador of the network of Safe Internet Centers (INSAFE) and Daisy Kidd, communication coordinator for Tactical Tech, the international organization responsible for the Data Detox x Youth Kit project.

The kit encourages young people to ask critical questions such as: “Who has access to my data?”, “Do I have control over this?”,"What does my online profile look like?";but it is also essential for raising awareness among parents, educators and others who play a role in securing the digital footprint of young people.
