New podcast "Voices" - Free Yourself Global campaign
"The podcast "Voices" is the first production of Free Yourself Global, the first global and cross-cultural domestic violence campaign. This series brings together all of the voices of the participants of domestic violence, including recovering abusers, victims, children, educators, support agencies and health professionals, law enforcement agencies, policy-makers, celebrities and social entrepreneurs who work to aid in this cause. It is the aim that "Voices" encourages people to open up and share their stories so we can get the heart of what is it that will empower us, whatever our role in domestic violence to interrupt the cycle of violence that often perpetuates through families for generations."

IV Journeys of the APAV Azores against violence
On October 14th, APAV Azores promoted the “IV Journeys of the APAV Azores against violence” in the Culture City Centre of Ponta Delgada. With a panel of various experts, the event was dedicated to debate three main themes: "Cybercrime - The Online Identity Theft", "Victims of Crimes and Hate Speech" and "Sexual Violence against Children and Youth". The Journeys registered a total of 70 participants from the most diverse professional areas.

Final Report | Project IVOR – Implementing victim-oriented reform of the criminal justice system in the European Union
The Final Report of Project IVOR – Implementing victim-oriented reform of the criminal justice system in the European Union, co-financed by the European Commission under the Criminal Justice Programme of the European Union, promoted by APAV and developed in partnership with the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (INTERVICT, The Netherlands), University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) and Victim Support Europe is now available.
Project IVOR’s results contained in the Final Report provide for a preliminary analysis on the position of victims in the EU Member States, while also offering a rich and analytical overview of the recent developments on the victim assistance models, with particular focus on important issues such as the definition of victim, victim support, restorative justice, victims resident in another Member State, individual needs assessment and vulnerable groups, training and cooperation. One may also find a further understanding of the manner in which victim-oriented reform in the diverse EU countries may succeed, aligned with practical recommendations and measures to promote the transposal of the EU Directive.
In the long-term impact, we expect that the project brings a positive contribution for improving the availability of more accommodating, prepared and responsive victim assistance model that might, in practice, enhance victims’ lived experience when faced with the criminal justice system.
Victim Support Europe is recruiting a full-time Administrative and Finance Officer
"Victim Support Europe (VSE) is recruiting a full-time Administrative and Finance Officer. VSE is the leading Europe-wide umbrella organisation for victims of crime. It is a dynamic organisation, going through an exciting period of expansion and development. It currently consists of 43 organisations from 26 countries including 22 Member States of the European Union plus Russia, Serbia, Switzerland and the USA.
VSE advocates on behalf of victims, to strengthen their safety and security rights and protection throughout Europe. The organisation aims to ensure that every victim in Europe is able to access information and support services in the aftermath of crime, regardless of where the victim lives or where the crime took place.
VSE is going through an exciting period of expansion with a number of new projects and policy opportunities. We are therefore recruiting a full time Administrative, Finance and Project Officer to strengthen our administration and project co-ordination capacity. The post will be based in our head office in Brussels."
